      Chess politics, France, Sébastien Feller

      Statement by GM Sebastien Feller

I completely deny the cheating accusation from the French Chess Federation. This disciplinary procedure is in fact related to the fact that I supported the current FIDE President (Kirsan Ilyumzhinov) in opposition to the current direction of the French Chess Federation.

The FIDE President is defamed on the blog of Jean-Claude Moingt, which claims that he has received fictitious proxies.

In addition, I have mentioned in private conversations, which were repeated, irregular accounting of the French Chess Federation (details will be given later), which have angered the president.

I asked my lawyer, Mr. Charles Morel, to initiate legal action for damages against the French Chess Federation for having unjustifiably tarnished my name in a statement included on all French and foreign websites, as well as in the international press.

      Sincerely,

      Cordialement,
      Sébastien Feller

I believe Feller. I think chess politics is behind this.

No future in chess for Feller.

This is getting ugly… What is the evidence. Right now it’s all “he said, they said”.

They’re learning from Bill Goichberg, Jim Berry, and Randy Bauer, the most corrupt chess politicians in America.

I don’t believe the accusation. It’s fishy that it took months to bring this out. I think this is purely a political scheme against Feller for supporting Ilyumzhinov.

Feller’s answer does not seem to be right somehow in the circonstances. And because of the way he express himself, I am afraid that I now beleive that he cheated.
If he did cheat, it is so sad. Such a talented young player. 5th in the Junior list, I beleive .

The only player who ever got caught was Indian player, Umakant Sharma (Ref. http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=3573). There are other Indians who still do it, Mr. Sharma’s erstwhile playing partner D P Singh (who had a similar dramatic rating increase http://ratings.fide.com/id.phtml?event=5007780), Tania Sachdev (http://ratings.fide.com/id.phtml?event=5007844), Vishal Sareen, and Rahul Sangma to name a few.

You can check the games of these players with your chess engine, and see how the moves match with the engine suggestions.

How they do it? They wear a cap or a piece of headgear which keeps the ears ‘warm’. A bluetooth headset is sown into this. An accomplice in the hall moves close to the player with a paired mobile phone so that the hidden computer operator can suggest a move directly into the ear.

Why doesn’t it stop? Good question!
