        Spotted this one in an instant. White cannot win a piece with Nf5 since black can regain the piece with Qe4+ or, possibly, the more complicated looking Qg4+ and h4. White can win the piece by offering the queen in a pseudo sacrifice first, and black cannot decline the sacrifice for more than a move:

        1. Qe7 Ke7 (Kg8/6 2.Qg7! Kg7 3.Nf5)
        2. Nf5 Kanywhere
        3. Nh4

        ok, this is obviously connected with the possible knight fork on f5, if the black king enters e7 or g7, so
        1. Qe7+ Kg6/g8
        2. Qg7+
        will do the trick.
