i dont get it? just win the queen or give mate.
Black doesn’t have to take on d8. He should play 1…Kh7.
White will have Q against K+R.
After 1… Kh7, black gets R+N vs Q, but I think after 3. Qd1 and 4. Rd7, the queen gets to d7 and starts eating pawns.
Gain a tempo first!
1) Qh6!! Qf8
No choice, Black has to prevent mate on g7
2) Rd8!
2) …Qxd8?? Leads to Qg7#
2) … Rxd8
3) Rd8!!
The white rook once again pins the Black queen. Now Qg7# is inevitable.
