Checkmate Karpov, Kasparov and the USCF.

Only it’s definitely not one world with Kirsan Ilhumzhinov. We need a chess player back in charge of FIDE. Since Max Euwe the world of chess has become a freak show, run by friends of aliens. Causing Grandmasters to split away from FIDE because of the way they are treated. We need stability to the World Championship cycle. We need no more stupid FIDE rules like zero default times. We need someone else. Time for change! Karpov has a great team to make this change.

Really Karpov has a great team? How so? Please do explain what Richard Conn has done for chess? Alisa Maric disappeared from chess and only makes appearances to HER benefit, not to chess.

How many votes can each of those Karpov selections bring to the table? None!

Here’s a better one – Germany was the first to endorse Karpov with a big hoopla with Karpov’s dumb smiling face and the German Chess Federations President. Then the announcement came out that the top German GM’s will not be playing in the Olympiad because the financial conditions weren’t sufficient. Did Karpov offer to do anything to help out? Reach into his own pocket to help the federation that nominated him for the FIDE president spot? Nope. Nothing….. and if he chooses to do it now, it’s because he’s trying to save face from being called out for not doing so! Karpov isn’t a poor man. He’s very, very rich. He just likes putting his hands in others pockets.

The first big mistake Karpov made was to align himself with the crooks running the USCF. That’s a game changer as the chess world has no respect for these incompetent losers.

By contrast then, are we saying that Kirsan Ilhumzhinov is sqeaky clean? Nobody should be allowed to stay in power forever. If you are in a powerful job for too long, then change purely for the sake of change becomes necessary. I’m not aware of Kirsan doing anything at all for western chess. They have many players but the least support. Time for change!
