For the 2 possibilities, the indian player choose the most beautiful. 38.Rf7+ Nxf7 39. Qxg6!! Kxg6 40.Be4#.
The other alternative is Qxg6+ first with mate in g7 with Rg7#.

Puzzle is better with the previous position. The checkmate is forced from Rxf7, and the double rook / queen sacrifice was making it beautiful.
Anyway. Qg6 and Be4 of course. Still disappointing.
