For me, this one was quite easy to spot, but I still found it interesting because black has so few alternatives once the Rh7 move is made. It’s a little counterintuitive since it requires the rook to be sacrificed, but from there on it is very straightforward. 1. Rh7+!! Kxh7 2. Qh5+ Kg7 3. Qg6+ Kh8 4. Qh6#
Suppose white feels sorry for black and decides to give him a chance by moving Bc5 — another winning line. Then black’s best move probably is Kxf7: 1. Bc5 Kxf7 2. Bxd6 g4 3. Rh7+ Kg8 4. Qxg4+ Kxh7 5. Qg6+ Kh8 6. Bxf8 Be5 7. f6 Bxf6 8. Qxf6+ Kh7 9. Qg7#
Rh7 plays itself. The idea being to get the queen in on the black queen with check, before black can take at f7:
1. Rh7 Kh7
2. Qh5 Kg7
3. Qg6 Kh8
4. Qh6#
Sacrifice the rook! I believe all of blacks moves are forced:
1. Rh7+ Kxh7
2. Qh5+ Kg7
3. Qg6+ Kh8
4. Qh6#
1.Rh7+ Kxh7
2.Qh6+
I would play e2 – h5
What else would make sense??
Rh7+ plays itself out logically
Oh no, that’s wrong!
The right move is:
h1 – h7+ !!
and the rest is silence
the right move is
h1 – h7+
black must take g7 x h7
e2 – h5+
and the rest is simple
1. Rh7+ Kxh7 2. Qh5+ Kg8 3. Qg6+ Kh8 4. Bxf6+ Qxf6 5. Qxf6+ Kh7 6. Qg6+ Kh8 7. Qh6#
1.Rh7+ Kxh7
2.Qh5+ Kg7
3.Qg6+ Kh8
4.Qh6#
1-0
1. Qh5 (threat Qg6#) (a) Bxd4
2. Qxg5+ Qg6
3. Qxg6#
1. … (b) Rd8
2. f8/Q+ (b1) Rxf8 or Qxf8
3. Qg6#
2. … (b2) Kxf8
3. Qxh6+ K any
4. Bxf6 Black won’t get that piece back
