I had a beautiful time celebrating an early birthday yesterday with all of the players at the Lubbock Open. Tonight I had a wonderful time celebrating with my family, friends, members of the Knight Raiders chess team and SPICE.
I had to chuckle when a friend reminded me tonight what a well known chess journalist / author inexplicably wrote in a book a few years ago that I have no friends 🙂 Well, all of you sure prove this chess journalist / author wrong 🙂
All kidding aside, thank you again to all of you for your warm and wonderful birthday wishes!

I, for one, was very happy to see how much you are respected and admired at the international level during the Siegen Olympiad.
