The 13th Karpov Poikovsky tournament will take place from 27th September to 8th October in Poykovskiy, the city of population of 30.000 in the Autonomous Okrug Ugra, Russia.
Ten Grandmasters will compete in the round robin event. Last year winners Etienne Bacrot and Sergey Karjakin will not participate this time.
Just like in previous editions, the tournament is poorly promoted to the wider audience.
