      Chess Olympiad, Khanty-Mansiysk

Here are some possible scenarios. Win and Ukraine wins gold. Tie and Russia wins then the tiebreaks will come into play. If Israel and Russia both win then Russia will get gold, Israel will get silver, and Ukraine will get bronze. If Spain, Poland, Hungary, France, or Armenia win, tiebreaks will come into play.

Here are the final round pairings of medal contending teams:

      Open Olympiad

      1 Israel 16 points : 18 points Ukraine
      2 Russia 17 : 15 Spain
      3 Poland 15 : 15 Hungary
      4 France 15 : 15 Armenia

On the women’s side, Russia A already clinched gold. However, the battles for silver and bronze are still in play. If China wins, they will get silver. If Russia B, Ukraine, Poland, or Georgia win, tiebreaks will come into play.

      Women’s Olympiad

      1 Russia 15 : 20 Russia
      2 China 16 : 15 Ukraine
      3 Poland 15 : 15 Georgia

Indian team was weakened by the absence of World number two Koneru Humpy. AICF General Secretary ensured her absence earlier by trying to impose restrictions on her freedom to chose tournaments. And he being a person sitting in a responsible post was neither interested to solve the problem. No Medal for India wont be a problem for him as he is selected as the FIDE Vice President by the famous means.
