        3004 +2325 +2056 +2026 +1774 +1648 +1580 +1231 +677 +482 = 16,803/4 =4,201 approximate if everyone voted for 4 candidates.

        3004/4201= 71.5% of the votes.

        Very nice Susan.

Congratulations to You and Paul and Randy and of course Jim Berry.

The big discussion at USCF Forums is about voting you as President. I hope everyone votes for you as President.

To Mikhail I can only say I voted for you and hope you become more active from the beginning to campaign. I think you were more active at the very end. But I hope you can be more active from the beginning. I will continue to support you and know you will remain active in chess.

Texas gave you good support. I was very happy to see the Texas vote. Oklahoma supported Jim Berry very well.

I sincerely hope that something is done about the USCF Forums so that we do not have a repeat of the mud slinging that occured there in the next election.

With only a 30 vote swing, I think I might have requested a recount. Did they count hanging chads?

What time does the Bye-Bye-Sloan party start?

I don’t know what I find scarier. The fact that 600 people voted for Sloan, or the fact that 400 voted for Goodall, a guy whose candidate statement contained absolutely no reason whatsoever, express or implied, why anyone should vote for him.

All Goodall’s statement did was to ask people to vote (in general, not for him specifically), and gave the score of two of his wins against masters. Even Sloan tried to claim that he deserved people’s vote. Goodall didn’t even do that.

Congratulations to Susan, Paul, and Randy! I voted for Mikhail, as well and I’m sorry to see he didn’t make it. It would have been nice to see the complete dream team onboard. Its going to be a “GREAT” 4 years for the USCF. Best of luck guys!

As an officer of the US Chess Trust I was prohibited from supporting any candidate for the USCF EB. However, I did vote for you, supported your campaign platform (silently) and was gratified to see you win the most votes. As the candidate with the most support, you should become the next USCF President. We need you. Go for it!

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to ALL the candidates for making an effort to help the USCF. The outcome was nearly what I had hoped for and about as good a result as you could have expected.

I’m disappointed again by the low turnout (especially in the areas where I campaigned heavily) but at least worst couple of candidates finished at the bottom and the best candidates finished at the top.

Congratulations GM Polgar and what a relief! I just might have to renew my USCF membership now that pigs are flying again (I once said that I would be a USCF member again “when pigs fly”) and there is hope.

that is a powerful statement. I agree and sincerely hope that Susan becomes our new President. I know she will do a good job.

6 months ago I remember Susan asking people if she should run or not. then after some soul searching she did decide to jump into the race. Now she is elected. I am truely happy. It is hard to believe sometimes that a dream can come true.

Susan, You are the dream of the average chess player and average chess member of uscf. The dream is not yet complete. I just know you are going to make the very best President. Then my dream will be complete.

Congratulations to Paul on having such a wonderful wife and companion. Nice to see you will be working together as a loving team for chess. I can guess that the campaign was the most difficult for you. You are a truely remarkable man to be able to go through this election as a winner. We really need you Paul. I hope the road will be much smoother for you now.

Congratulations to Randy Bauer a gentleman and all around good guy. Everyone voted for Randy because he is such a good guy. I admire Randy as a true Professional. A man of class and distinction. We are lucky to have you help chess.

Jim Berry. Glad to see you win. I know you will win again in 2 years. I hope to see you helping chess for a long time into the future. And did I mention that Jim Berry and his brother Frank are 2 of the very nicest people in the whole wide world.

I believe the membership elected the 4 best candidates for the USCF.

I hope future elections will be held in a more gentlemanly fashion. It was good to see the nasty comments rejected by the voters.
