At the Closing Ceremony …
Almost everyone was there – I only missed Garry Kasparov, Ruslan Ponomariov and of cause the current world champion Viswanathan Anand. And – let me say – the reatest players of Germany after the war, Robert Hübner.
Watching the pictures and waking up of the real dream, there is a feeling of opulence and gratification.
Maybe in the background of the FIDE and some national federations there is some trouble – the community of the players and their friends is full of harmony.
Let me also mention Klaus Bischoff who commented the games as top expert and full of humour!
We will lead much more young people to the great joy of playing chess. Thats my first conclusion.
