«I am 11 and I have everything ahead of me»
Seychelles ELI LOUISE, 11 years old

I play chess since 2008. I started playing in chess tournaments from the beginning of 2010. It is my first Chess Olympiad and it is unforgettable. I am grateful to my sister for the fact that once she came up to me and proposed to join the chess club.

I do not have any titles so far but I want to have it as soon as possible. I know that I have everything ahead of me because I am only 11 years old.

During the coming weekend I am planning to do some sightseeing of Khanty-Mansiysk. I have never been in the northern part of Russia and I am very interested the way people live here.

«You can visit various cities when you play chess»
      Seychelles
      Mein Arnold, 11 years old

I was taught how to play chess in our school. We have a chess club where I was brought by my mother at the age of 6. I like chess because it is an intellectual game. On the other hand, if you perform well, you have a chance to visit different cities and countries. If not for chess, I would have never visited Khanty-Mansiysk that is a very beautiful city. I also like your traditional food here.

«My father is very proud of me»
      Philippines
Camacho Charaima Cherade, 16 years old

I play chess for 10 years already. I am the youngest chess player in our national team and my father is very proud of me.

Before I played for myself and when I turned 6 years I stared playing in the tournaments. It was my father who taught me to play chess. He likes chess very much. My father wanted me to play in the tournaments and he took me to a chess club. I love chess and I like to think over every move. This is a strategic game and I like strategies.

I was delighted by the Opening Ceremony of the Olympiad, namely by the rook-shaped dome that was raised under which we saw the ancient house of the local inhabitants. It was really beautiful.

      «I enjoy Khanty-Mansiysk»
      Romazi NGHE
      Sri Lanka, 16 years old

I play chess for 11 years already. I like this game – you remain concentrated all the time. You always have to think over your moves. It is my brother who plays chess and he was the one who taught me how to play. I really like this game and we play very often at home now.

My love for chess led to first victories. I play various chess tournaments from the age of 10. I like the weather here because it is very hot in Sri Lanka. I enjoy the weather and the city as well that is very beautiful. I am eager to do some sightseeing and go to Bermuda party this weekend.

I would like to add that the opening ceremony was great. The colors and dances were enchanting. Also I bought a T-shirt, pencils and pens with the Olympiad logo.

«The opening ceremony is the best show that I have ever seen»
      Surinam OOFT TESORA

16 year old, When I was small we had a chance to go to a chess match and I liked chess moiré than simply playing with children in the yard. I asked my brother to take me to the chess club. The result is that I am here at the Olympiad.

I adore my hotel..It is the best place where I have ever been. Of course I really loved the opening ceremony. It is the best show that I have ever seen in my life. It is unforgettable.
