Congratulations to Tiviakov and Lahno for winning the European Individual Overall and Women’s Championship!
Wasn’t Tiviakov 2700 at one time? He’s good.
i wonder if some of the other penultimate-round leaders are regretting their very short draws in the last round? congrats to Tiviakov for showing some fighting spirit
Tiviakov has cold deadly precision. His win in the final round is an example of that.
Using the Sicilian c3 variation, he managed to control the wild and attacking Sutovsky and bring the game into his terrain.
Brilliant game by Tiviakov and congratulations to him for winning this highly prestigious title.
My empathy to Emil Sutovsky who started the tournament so well but failed to continue his great form from the beginning.
Surely I meant to congratulate Sutovsky for a great tournament as well. You win with grace and lose with dignity as the motto of this blog pronounces.
