I think you got the idea right but the order wrong in the above post.
I think Rxc6 first is much stronger.

The right order is I believe 1.Rxc6 bxc6 2.Nxf6+ Kd8 3.Bxc6! Now the position just collaps :3…Qd2 4.Qb1 wins

But, after
1. Rxc6 bxc6
2. Nxf6+ Kd8
then
3. Nxd7?? cxQb5
4. Bxa8? Kxd7
or
4. Rd1 Rc8
5. Nxb6+ Kc7
6. Nxc8 R(or K)xc8
It is far from clear that white is winning. In fact, in either case, pieces are even and I would take black’s extra pawns.

White will pick up the rook or the queen, gaining at least a piece advantage and clear win.
Move order is paramount.
1. Rxc6 bxc6
2. Nxf6+ Kd8
3. Bxc6! Qd2??
Qd2 would be a blunder, lost Q for sure:
4. Qb1 Qg5(or Qa5, Qc3)
5. Qd1 then Qd7 Qb7 mate
4. Qb1 Kc8 (or Kc7)
5. Rxe7, it’s all over
