      Unfair description?

Business Standard, Magnus Carlsen, Norway, World Champion

Business Standard’s description of World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen:

He is a “22-year-old dropout who lives in the basement of his parents’ house and spends his time teasing his three sisters. His Facebook profile is studded with umpteen pictures of pickup beach volleyball and soccer games.”

Magnus is only 23… What is most important is not that he acts like a mature 40+ adult (he still has plenty of time to do so…) but rather that he manages to rejuvenate the image of our sport, draw more youngsters to the game, make it look fun and hip.

Anand and Kramnik are great guys and fantastic players. So was Kasparov. But none of them were really suited for that mission like Magnus is (IMO).
