After visiting St. Louis earlier in the day, I dashed across the state of Missouri to Kansas City (about a 4 hour drive from St. Louis) to meet with a large group of kids, parents, and coaches from LINC in early evening. As soon as that event was over, I visited a full house at the Westport Chess Club in Kansas City. It is fantastic to be able to meet so many chess enthusiasts in the heartland of America.
