      WIM Kristina Saric wins 2016 Croatian Women’s Championship

      The 2016 Croatian Individual Women’s Chess Championship was organized by the Croatian Chess Federation in collaboration with Zagreb Chess Federation from 19th of February to 27th of February 2016.

      The event took place in Croatian capital Zagreb in a 10-player single round-robin format with an average Elo rating 2100.

      WIM Kristina Saric emerged a solo winner with 6/9 points, leaving the runner-up NM Patricija Vujnovic half a point behind.

      The third place was shared by WGM Mirjana Medic and WFM Ivona Purgar after both players scored 5 points, but Medic prevailed on superior tie-break criteria to take bronze medal.
