I kind’a doubt she is a GM? 2500+? Nope. But then again, maybe I’m wrong again.

        Go Kosteniuk!!!

Well, things are beginning to heat up… and Hou is spending quite a lot of time!

        Let’s see how it proceeds…

Kosteniuk launches a dangerous attack… Hou seems to be in trouble and with little time left!!!

A winning for Black is approaching now…

        (…one more victory!… says the crow! :))

        Rui,

How do you figure that they are in time trouble? I am at the official website, but there are no clocks displayed.

Are you watching the games in Nalchik?

        Thanks!

Yes, there is a sort of digital clock, so to speak, on top of the game’s sheet!

        http://nalchik2008.fide.com/live-games/?lang=eng

See under “site”… below “event” and above “white”… that’s right! 🙂

        26:32 vs. 41:26 on move 43…

        Rui leprechaun

(…and an endgame to see! :))

        Rui,

Thanks a lot; I see it now. What are the time controls for this game, do you know?

Endgame worth seeing indeed. I loved Kosteniuk’s play so far. Am rooting for the underdog. 14 year olds have many future opportunities to be the world champion. 🙂

        See the “regulations” here:

        http://nalchik2008.fide.com/regulations/?lang=eng

        3.6. Time control.

        3. 6. 1. The time control shall be 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move from move one.

        And it’s a win crystal clear…

        Rui leprechaun

(…the title is getting near! :))
