      FIDE is announcing the confirmed participants for the World Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, 20 November – 15 December 2009.

      The pairings of the 1st round will be announced on 2 November 2009, immediately after the publishing of the November rating list.

        I wonder why have you highlighted certain players in the list?

        Obviously players in red letters are all from the USA and Judith Polgar is the highest ranking woman. It is not obvious why have you highlighted some of the others?
