– 326 Simultaneous Games Played (Official first record against 326 players: 309 wins, 14 draws and 3 losses = 96.93% in 16 hours and 30 minutes)
– Most games won 309
– Highest percentage 96.93%
– 1,131 Consecutive Games Played (Overall statistics which included 551 opponents: 1,112 wins, 16 draws and 3 losses = 99.03%)

We had players were from the United States, Turkey, Australia, Sweden, Jamaica, Hungary, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Canada, etc.

The last official game ended at 3:00 AM.
Special guests included vice mayor (and former mayor) Eric Jablin, countless officials from Palm Beach Gardens, the Managing Director of the US Chess Trust Barbara DeMaro and the Executive Director of the USCF Mr. Bill Hall.

I’m with you mozartszelleme the meaning of the consecutive games record is unclear. Your quesiton is not a stupid one. I assume it means that the 326 games are included in the consecutive total and as games ended either the same player or another one set the boards back up and started new games. So at any one time the most number of game going was 326 (thus the record) but over the 16 hours she played, she played 1131 total games (wow!). This is of course a guess. The use of the word consecutive is confusing because it implies a series of games played in succession. The impressive number given above appears to combine both simultaneous and successive games in the consecutive total. A imprecise description of a very impressive accomplishment

I remember approximately 2000+, 1750 and 1950. She basically lost at at the end around 12:30 AM, 2:15 AM and 2:55 AM. I’m 95% sure of this.

To modify or delete comments, just login and select the blog you want to go into and then select “change settings, then “posting” and then “edit posting”.
