      The FIDE World School Championships are returning to the original venue in Porto Carras, Halkidiki where it was organised for the first time back in 2005.

      Players from more than 30 countries and from all continents have confirmed their participation up to now. Large delegations from federations with well-known achievements in scholastic chess are coming to Halkidiki. Among them are Russia, England, India, Iran, Turkey, South Africa, Romania, Colombia and others.

      The draft lists of participants will be published on 20 March 2013 in the official website http://www.gamesfestival.com and http://www.chess-results.com

      At the same time with the World School Championships 2013, the 5th international open chess tournament of Porto Carras will be held, an additional opportunity for older players, coaches and accompanying persons who are also travelling to Greece.
