      XV International Open Torredembarra

      Chess tournament, Spain

      The XV Internacional Open Torredembarra is taking place on 6th-14th July at the Pavelló Sant Jordi, Zona Esportiva Municipal, C/Rosella, S/N (43830-Torredembarra), Spain.

      The Dutch variation of the Swiss system for 9 rounds will be used. The time control will be 90 minutes for the whole game plus 30 seconds increments per move, per player.

      It will not be allowed to agree on a draw before move 30.

      Mr. Gerard Aroca Argüelles is the Tournament Director. This event is part of the X Catalan Circuit of International Chess Events.

      A total of 96 players are registered to participate. First seeds are Peruvian-Spanish GM Miguel Muñoz Pantoja, Argentinian IM Marcelo Panelo and Ukrainian GM Ruslan Pogorelov.
