      Lublin Chess 2009
      1st International Grandmaster Tournament

      The Chess Association of the Lubelski Region is organizing 1st International Grandmaster Tournament which is going to be held in Lublin from 28th of May untill 6th of June, 2009. The tournament is a round robin with 10 grandmasters ranging between 2652 to 2535 ELO, with average ELO of 2614, which makes it category XV event.

      The tournament is part of the project promoting Lublin as a candidate for the European Capital of Culture 2016 and celebrate the 440th anniversary of Union of Lublin. Live games from the event will be broadcast daily on Chessdom.com and live webcam views from the hall can be seen on the official site. Round 1 begins on May 29th, games will start daily at 15:00 CET.
