      CHESS DEMO As part of a series of events leading up to the 2009 U.S. Chess Championship to be held in St. Louis May 8-17, the St. Louis Science Center will host chess demonstrations by Women’s Chess Grandmaster Jennifer Shahade. Shahade will present speed chess demonstrations and square off against several players at once from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at St. Louis Science Center, 5050 Oakland Avenue. saintlouischessclub.org.
