      ECU Board Completed
      Kurt Gretener, Jean-Claude Moingt and Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou elected

      Following the election of Silvio Danailov as the new ECU President, and members of his ticket being incorporated into the new ECU Board, the remaining three seats in the Board were decided in the evening session of the ECU GA in Khanty-Mansyisk.

      The following nominations for elections for 3 additional Board members were received in time:

      Dirk De Ridder – Belgium
      Kurt Gretener – Switzerland
      Jean-Claude Moingt – France
      Javier Ochoa de Echagüen – Spain
      Agostino Scalfi – Italy
      Werner Stubenvoll – Austria
      Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou – Greece

      Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou from Greece, ECU Marketing Director and a well respected organizer and manager of sports and chess events, Jean-Claude Moingt, the President of the French Chess Federation, and Kurt Gretener, President of the Switzerland Chess Federation and earlier ECU Treasurer, were elected individually as new ECU Board members.
