      European Youth Chess Championship

      The young European youth champions have been crowned at the EYCC 2011. A total of 1039 participants from 48 countries competed in the Open U8-U18 and Girls U8-U18 categories. Among the players there were 2 GMs, 17 IMs, 10 WIMs, 38 FMs, 28 WFMs, and a total of 114 titled players.

      The Open and girls section medalists are:

      EYCC Boys U18

      Gold: GM Nils Grandelius (SWE)
      Silver: IM Marcel Kanarek (POL)
      Bronze: Vadim Moiseenko (RUS)

      EYCC Boys U16

      Gold: FM Alexandr Bortnik (UKR)
      Silver: FM Hovhannes Gabuzyan (ARM)
      Bronze: FM David Anton Guijarro (ESP)

      EYCC Boys U14

      Gold: FM Ali Marandi Cemil Can (TUR)
      Silver: FM Jan-Krzysztof Duda (POL)
      Bronze: FM Vladislav Artemiev (RUS)
