      The 10th Pavlodar International Open will take place from 6-16th December at the Estaya St. 83 in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan.

      The tournament is organized by the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, Management of physical training and sports of the Pavlodar area, and Pavlodar Chess Federation.

      The playing format is 10-round Swiss and the tournament will be valid for FIDE rating and norms.

      Tournament director is GM Kotsur Pavel. The prize fund is 10200 $, with the first prize being 2000 $.

      Top rated players are Grandmasters Zubov Alexander 2630 UKR, Aleksandrov Aleksej 2606 BLR, Frolyanov Dmitry 2568 RUS, Savchenko Boris 2567 RUS, Burmakin Vladimir 2557 RUS, Ismagambetov Anuar 2548 KAZ, Yudin Sergei 2529 RUS, Khusnutdinov Rustam 2517 KAZ, Ovetchkin Roman 2511 RUS, Rasulov Vugar 2493 AZE and Bezgodov Alexei 2489 RUS.

      Last year winner was GM Sergey Volkov

      Pavlodar is a city in northeastern Kazakhstan and the capital of Pavlodar Province. It is located 350 km northeast of the national capital Astana, and 400 km southeast of the Russian city of Omsk along the Irtysh River. As of 2010, the city has a population of 331,710.
