      06:00 CET At 13:00 CET we will have special coverage of the press conference with the players and the FIDE President Kirsan Ilymzhinov. The opening ceremony will be held at 17:00 CET. For sure before, after, and in between the press conference and the opening ceremony there will be much news, statements, and additional information regarding the match.

      06:15 CET The FIDE President Kirsan Ilymzhinov is landing in Sofia at 10:40. That leaves him about 2 hours to go downtown to the NDK playing hall. After the opening ceremony he will attend the official dinner for VIP guests of the match with the President of the National Agency for Youth and Sports Mrs.Vesela Lecheva.

      Early morning on the next day the FIDE President will visit ‘Rupite’, as Silvio Danailov shared in a recent interview. Kirsan Ilymzhinov will be back to the playing hall before 14:00 to make the opening move of the game.

        Matches between attackers and defenders don’t always produce great games. The Alekhine-Capablanca match is an example. I hope this match produces a game that will be featured in future “classic” game compilations.

        Topalov is odds-on favourite being No. 1 and having never lost a game to Kamsky… yet. looking forward to this match!
